In 2009, Travis Daly — an application developer — built a piece of software for his wife Brooke’s independent college-consulting firm, Advantage College Planning. Her practice had grown past what spreadsheets, hand-written notes, and Word documents could hold, so he built something that could.
Other independent educational consultants started asking what software Brooke used. There wasn’t one to point them to — so the Dalys turned that one-firm tool into a platform. Seventeen years and 3,000+ consultants later, it’s used by IECs worldwide, still built around how this profession actually works.
